Hi,
I’m Cameron.
I ran a flooring business for nine years before this. I know exactly why the books end up last on the list.
I was the guy
behind on his books.
Before this, I ran my own flooring business, working alongside my dad on jobs across Iowa. Between onsite installations, running quotes and writing estimates, the bookkeeping always ended up last on the list. Usually pushed to a Sunday night, or a month later, and most times just completely forgotten about.
That is not a discipline problem. It is what happens when the work that pays you happens during the hours the paperwork needs.
I started Brightside Bookies for the version of me that was two quarters behind and dreading the conversation.
I KNOW THE WORK
Job costing, retainage, seasonal cash and materials that move between bid and build are normal here, not edge cases.
CLOSED BY THE 5TH
Your books close early each month, so the numbers are current when you need to make a decision.
YOU TALK TO ME
Phone or text, answered by the person actually doing your books. No queue, no handoff, no AI.
NO JUDGMENT
Months or years behind is the most normal thing I see. It is a starting point, not something to apologise for.
Straightforward,
start to finish.
No packages you have to decode, no hourly clock running while you explain your business.
Flat Monthly Fee
You know the price before anything starts. Month to month, no long contract.
QuickBooks Online
The only platform I support, so your file stays clean and your CPA already knows it.
Job-Level Detail
Costs tied to the job that earned them, so you can see which work actually paid.
Same Person All Year
I know your file in January and I still know it in November.
What I don’t do.
I would rather tell you this up front than three weeks into working together.
I’m not a CPA
I do not file tax returns. What I do is hand your CPA books that are already clean, so filing is quick and cheap.
I don’t run payroll
If you need payroll I will point you to someone good rather than pretend it is a strength.
I don’t take everyone
I work with trades and service businesses. It is what I know, and it is where I am actually useful.
Have a look
around.
Let’s talk about
your books.
