Cash Flow Forecasting for Denver Trades
Denver trades run seasonal: painters bank the exterior season and fund January from it; cleaning contracts churn; flooring waits on financing deposits. Cash flow forecasting turns that rhythm into a plan instead of a surprise.
The problem with profitable-but-broke
A business can earn money on paper and still miss payroll — because profit is a story about months and cash is a story about Fridays. Deposits that aren't income yet, materials bought weeks before the draw lands, quarterly taxes due the same week as insurance: cash problems are timing problems, and timing can be forecast.
What we build
A rolling cash view built from your actual books: what's coming in (invoices, draws, recurring contracts), what's going out (payroll, rent, suppliers, loans, taxes), and where the line gets thin. For painters, that means seeing whether the exterior-season surplus actually covers the winter. For cleaning companies, what losing one commercial account does to the next ninety days. For flooring, when showroom stock purchases and financing holdbacks collide.
Decisions this answers
Can I afford the second crew in March? Should the truck be bought or financed? When does the line of credit actually get used? Real answers need current books — forecasting is included in GC plans and available on Foreman, built on top of monthly bookkeeping that closes by the 10th.

FAQ
Cash Flow Forecasting — common questions
Is forecasting included in my plan?
Cash-flow forecasting is included in GC ($1,000–$1,500/month) and available as an add-on to Foreman ($600/month). It requires current books, so monthly bookkeeping comes first.
How far out does the forecast go?
The working view is 13 weeks — far enough to act, near enough to be honest. Seasonal planning views extend further for winter budgeting and equipment timing.
What do you need from me to keep it accurate?
Your pipeline: jobs sold, start dates, and draw schedules. Ten minutes a month from you; the rest comes from books that already reconcile.
